The Story

My CTO, Nicholas Stoneking, and I founded Mocktalk from our rooms during finals week of our junior year. We realized we had almost no time to prepare for tech job interviews on top of studying for school and working our student jobs. Effective interview preparation required mock interviews with others, along with extensive research on questions, interview structures, and more. That’s when we came up with the idea of using an AI mock interviewer to help us practice independently. Our goal was to create an AI that could conduct research, simulate realistic interview scenarios, ask relevant questions, and provide feedback to help us improve. We poured everything into developing this product to give ourselves a real edge in the job interview process. Along the way, we found success with this product and soon realized we could help other tech job seekers leverage this technology. Since then, we've been dedicated to our mission of helping tech job seekers succeed in their interviews.
